First of all, thank you for making such a great tutorial.
I've always wanted to play boogie-woogie, but thought it was something only a few talented players could play because it looked so complicated.
But thanks to your detailed explanation of each part, I thought that maybe I could play it, so I bought a piano for the first time in my life.
And this is my progress now.
It's still like baby steps, but it's a big step for me. I look forward to being able to play better.
Thank you.
Wow that was impressive
Satoru, I think this is excellent progress! Thank you so much for sharing. It seems that you are doing a good job keeping the left hand steady! That is the most important part. Very nice.
As you play more and get more comfortable, you will be able to relax your hands more and use more of your arm/wrist to initiate the movement. Some students find it helpful to close their eyes while they practice. This can help your hands get the "feel" of the keys.
Also, when I was first learning, I would look at the way people played and try to imitate their "attitude" and the way they moved their hands around.
Keep up the great work and please show us more of your progress in a couple months!
