Hi...
I've been working on the above pattern... and after realising it just doesn't sound right I've discovered that I am shortening some of the notes... specifically the 1 beat and the 1+ beat that I play with my pinky... the other one I occasionally shorten is the 4+ beat (the last beat)...
Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix it and get the length of the notes to sound "more" equal ?
Thanks
Thanks arthur ... yes seems like I am "tapping" and not "pressing" on the keys as the books say you should - I will try and connect the notes more like you've indicated.
Bebe, actually that sounds good to me. It sounds like it normally should at that tempo. If you want to connect the notes a little more, the hold the bottom note (except the very first one) until the next one is played. If you are in C, i will indicate the hold with a "-".
C, C-A, C-G, C-A, G
😊 OK - I put the drums on at 100 and this is what it sounds like... something doesn't seem right - like I am hitting it on the beat but the notes don't seem to ring on or last like they should or something?
OK Thanks
Thanks for posting this question! Slow practice with the metronome is the only way that I know of to fix rhythmic inconsistencies.
